A-BUS is a revolutionary new technology that makes traditional audio distribution components obsolete. The A-BUS kit contains the components necessary to distribute high quality stereo sound from virtually any sound system. The kit is designed to simply and affordably distribute music into four rooms throughout your home to as many rooms as you like.
Gone are expensive multi-room amplifiers, clunky mechanical volume controls, power wasting impedance control components and long runs of expensive wire. Just add your stereo system and your speakers of choice for music enjoyment and system control from any rooms you choose. Want music in more rooms? Just add as many kits as needed.
Russound uses A-BUS technology to seamlessly integrate your audio system into your home, in any rooms you choose. Use your components remote controls or use learning remotes to control the entire system from any room. No more walking back to the main room to adjust your system. And with the simple, intuitive A-BUS Controls, virtually any family member can control and enjoy music in any room.
A-BUS works with inexpensive 8-conductor (CAT 5) wire do distribute audio, infrared, status and system power to the A-BUS in-wall controller/amplifier.
There are two styles of the ABUS system: single source or four source - providing distribution of one or four audio sources. Both styles are avaiable in kits for your convenience.
The single source system has a control center available in either a flush or surface mount design with keypads available in either white or ivory finish.

Russound's A-H484 4-Zone, 4-Source A-BUS hub The latest addition to the ABUS line. This controller supports multi-source/multi-zone control from 4 zones in the house. Independent source selection can be done from each zone - supports up to 4 audio sources (tuner, CD, etc..). Other features include: IR routing, common IR out, 12 VDC trigger out, and Link-In Link-Out. The Link-In and Link-Out feature offers an easy expansion alternative, allowing you to add additional A-H484 controllers to support additional zones.
By popular demand each zone can have two A-KP2 keypads for convenient control. For use with the A-KP2 series keypads only. Needs an A-PS power supply for each 4 keypads.

Russound's A-KP2 A-BUS Amplified Volume Control The A-KP2 is the efficient alternative to clunky old mechanical in-wall volume controls. The A-KP2 is an electronic volume control, an infrared control and high quality stereo amplifier in one simple to operate keypad. A-BUS sends stereo music, infrared control and system power through an inexpensive 8-conductor CAT-5 wire from your main system location.
Available in white (RU-AKP2W) and almond (RU-AKP2A)

Russound's A-VC2 Amplified Volume Control The simple side of the A-BUS system. For the ultimate in economy and sound the A-VC2 features volume control at a touch from a stylish volume knob, status function and can easily be integrated in systems with the A-KP2. Great for rooms where no infrared control is needed. The A-VC2 , as part of the A-BUS system, seamlessly integrates with virtually any audio system - even mini systems. Simply purchase and install an A-BUS connector block and an A-BUS Power Supply and up to 4 A-VC2 and you get control of your music in 4 rooms.

Russound's A-H2 Single Source 2-Zone Expansion Hub The A-H2 is a two zone audio solution designed for smaller applications and expanding current A-BUS system hubs. Add two rooms of audio to any audio preamplifier/receiver or use the expandable input to split one A-BUS output into two usable keypad outputs. For use with the A-KP or A-VC. Needs A-PS power supply.

Russound's A-H4D Single Source 4-Zone Connecting Block The A-H4D is a flush-mount, Decoraâ„¢ A-BUS 4-room, 1-source Audio Distribution Hub used with A-BUS Amplified Keypads and Amplified Volume Control Modules, models A-KP2 and A-VC2. All A-BUS systems require an A-PS, A-BUS Power Supply, to operate and supply the A-BUS system components with power. The A-H4D can be expanded using an A-BUS expansion Hub, A-H4DX, in order to increase the number of rooms in a system.

Russound's A-H4DX 4-Zone Expansion Hub The A-H4Dx is an A-BUS 4-room audio expansion Hub used to expand the A-H4D from the 4 amplified keypad or volume control modules to an 8-room system. The typical system would consist of an A-H4D, A-PS and up to four A-BUS amplified modules. Every A-H4DX requires an additional A-PS A-BUS power supply to operate the additional four amplified keypads or volume control modules.

Russound's A-LC2 Local Source Input The A-LC2 is an in-wall, A-BUS Module that automatically selects between an independent local source (e.g., a CD player in the room) and the main source of an A-BUS system. The A-LC2 connects between the A-BUS audio Hub (or A-BUS-Ready receiver) and an A-BUS Amplified Keypad Module using CAT-5 wiring.
